FF: Mom's Organic Love

She was all of 90, with wrinkly face, frail looking limbs but full of energy and a radiant smile on her face.
She had two grinding stones in her tiny yard. One was for grinding medicines and other was solely reserved for Wednesdays.
Her son came from the city every Wednesday, she diligently sat down every Wednesday mornings to grind aromatic masalas for him to take back.

Son “Ma, why cant you rest? These stones are too heavy, and we get masalas in the organic store”
Her: “What's Organic?”
Son: “No pesticides, fresh things”

With a chuckle she said “ha, then I have been making organic all my life”

  3. Many old techniques are indeed organic, or mindful, or low on resources. Lovely story.
