SWG: Fire

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Once in a Meadow, Near Los Osos by Michael McClintock: single, empty, dandelion, spool, aflame, wanton, flaring, wildflowers, poppies, coastal, innocent, coat

In an empty single standing house
By the coastal bay

PC: /i.ytimg.com
Dark silent abandoned house
Untamed gardens with pretty flowers in spring

Dandelion, Poppies, and wildflowers growing there
Pink lotuses and wantons on the small lake there

Once upon a time, stood there a pretty house
That was burnt down by a spool of dry hay

A small cigarette butt, set the hay aflame
That small flame went flaring around the house

That fire claimed 6 innocent lives
The town tried to remove the victims from there
Alas, all the found was the tiny coat of the 2 year old, that lived there

FF: Curious Mind

Copyright -John Nixon
PC: John Nixon
He was born with a curious mind
This boy, one of a kind

He started to play drums at the age of three
Where does the sound come from? Was his plea

So, he broke open the drum
Hollow drum,made him glum

He grew up to be a pianist
He was one of the finest

He curiosity got to him again
How do the keys play, he asked all men

No one could answer him
So, he flung himself & got in

His wife came by
And said with an angry sigh
“I will hit that butt and it will made sound
Then try to find out where it came from”

SWG: Haunting Memories

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from the notes on the poem "Waterfalls and Memory" by Elizabeth Crawford: flashes, moments, uneasy, recall, week, writing, altered, distorted, three, sister, years, came

PC: indiandramaqueen.blogspot.com
Deborah was 30 and all these years, she would have very uneasy moments while she is asleep, she would wake up sweaty and anxious. She has had flashes that came at least once every week from the time she was three
Deborah can still very clearly recall, every small detail in that dream. The dream had a small distorted house named "Dahlia Haem" amidst green grassy fields. She had a very pretty looking sister while Deborah herself was a little girl wearing her sister's altered dresses, the dresses looked like the ones worn in Scotland. She could hear her sister call her name out as Lera.

In real, Deborah had no siblings and never yearned for one too. Her husband being a renowned psychologist, suggested her to record these dreams in writing.
Deborah was sure this was something to do with her past. She insisted on going to Scotland and finding this out. Deborah's consistent efforts brought out a shocking truth of the Dahlia family's two girls being killed by their own parents because of poverty. The Dahlia Haem, still stands there looking exactly like the house in Deborah's dream, now dark and lonely, the locals now claim that the house is haunted by the elder sister of the Dahlia family and she us waiting to be reunited with her little sister,

FF: Thanks love

Mark screamed from the corner of their new bedroom “Hey Mary, look what I found”

Mary didn’t pay much attention to Mark then.

Mark said to himself “I wonder, if my head would still fit in this rusted thing?” and put on the diving helmet on his head.

It smelt of sea and rust. Mark smiled to himself and tried to remove it. But, to his horror the helmet was stuck. He tried to pull it off, but it didn’t work.

Mark panicked. Luckily for him Mary walked in to help him out of his beloved helmet.
Breathless Mark hugged her and said “I love you. Thanks love”

FFPP: Young conversation

The first one was a surprise… and tough too” he said
"Yeah, he kept running around everywhere, but I must say he was quite good" She said

"I am glad you liked it, it was worth the effort" he said

"The others were good too, but the first was the best" she said looking lazily at him

"Now, that I have impressed you, can I now have a date with you?" he asked eagerly

"It is not the season yet" She dismissed him

"I know this isnt the season thats why I asked you for a date and not mate" He smiled mischiviously

"Ok Mr. Lion, where are we going hunting tonight?" She smiled pretty and he beamed too

This was a tiny conversation between a young lion and a pretty young lioness after he hunted her a juicy ostrich in the deep jungles of Africa

FFAR: I am a girl

I am born a girl
I will grow up to be a woman
I want to study
I want to help humanity
I want to achieve so much in life

I am a girl
I am taught to be subtle
I am taught to give up and adjust
I am taught to give chances to the boys of my family

I am a girl
I will grow up to be a woman
I see my mother giving up her desires and ambitions
I shall never be able to show what I am capable of
for, my hands are cut, tied restricted

I am a girl
Let me be free
Let me grow up to be me
I am a girl
Let me live

SWG: What true love does

Its my first time at Sunday Whirlgig, and this time I got 12 words  by one of my favorite bloggers Old Egg
The words are

glances, hazel, cheek, pouts, small, spirit, limp, months, letting, softens, tight, scar

That accident injured her so bad and left her to limp all her life.
That accident left a scar not just on her body but on her soul too
The man she loved left her within months of that accident
She held her heart tight, promising herself that she is never letting anyone break it ever again.

PC: indiandramaqueen.blogspot.com
Then came a handsome man
He fell in love with this small looking girl with hazel eyes
She cute cheeks and curved lips that pouts

In the church, he stole glances at her
She saw him and something fluttered inside her
Her heart softens and her spirits rose

Somewhere she heard a whisper, this is what true love does. It heals
