3WW: My Pink Dress

The old saying "What you see is what you believe" doesn't hold true anymore.

Now 'What you see, what you read may also not be true"

Well, I order this super cute dress online. It had a fancy, elaborate description of how soft the silk is, how delicate the laces are and the pictures too looked so mesmerizing. I was in love with the dress in the picture and ordered it for my birthday.
And when you order anything online, the wait for it to be delivered to you id the worst.
The dress came a day before my bithday, I was as excited as a kid in the candu shop.

I open it....and my heart breaks

What I saw was a pretty baby pink silk dress with a lace bodice. But, what I got was a blotchy old looking filthy pink dress.

I still have tears in my eyes thinking about it, so much hopes were shattered.

FF: Note-able Love Story

PC: Shaktiki Sharma
She took a bus every evening from this secluded bus-stop. She was sad that night and wrote a “I wish I could smile” and kept it on this bus stop. The bus came and she forgot about that note.

Next evening there was another note pinned to her note “I hope that you did smile”

She smiled and wrote ‘This note did”

Next day she eagerly waited for the evening to reach the stop, and find the note “Glad I could make you smile”

And here started a “notable love story” of Anna and Ronny.

WPS: Gullfoss Falls

We parked our car at the bottom of the hill. The climate was a bit dull, it was cloudy and looked as if it might rain.

Far away, we could hear the gush of the waterfall. Well, from the time I was a little kid, I have thing for waterfalls, I wanted to be that bird or the fish that takes a dive from the top to the bottom of the falls. I have forever been curious of where the falls might be originating.

Here, we had stair and an access to see the falls. Luckily, it had been raining for the past whole week, and we were sure that there would be water in the falls, instead of that almost drying tiny stream.

We ran as fast as our feet could take us up the stairs, we got tired. Then slowly emerged that magnificent Gulllfoss falls.

SWG: Flying Away

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Christmas Away from Home" by Jane Kenyon: sleeves, swish, streams, candles, city, cars, painted, passing, pines, wildest, white, water

The cars are passing on the wet street
And splashed the water on the sides

The city is painted with colors of red and white
And the snow has settled on the pines, like glowing light

Streams of people walk to the church for the prayer tonight
In their homes, Stockings hanging and the candles lit bright

Not in their wildest dreams, would they have thought that an old man in red and white sleeve would come with a red nosed reindeer swishing on the sky
With a bell in his hand, a smile on his face, HoHoHo on his lips, says Mr. Santa Claus Bye bye

FF: Bypassed Route 45

PC: Roger Bultot
Long long ago, so long ago, that I don’t remember how long ago. I, a retired army man started this shop on Route 45.

In those days, there were so many vehicles coming in. The business was booming,
Then this route was by-passed. This tiny town slowly started vanishing. Those festive lights, slowly started to dimish.

Now the only light that falls on the street is the neons of my almost bankrupt shop and the traffic light.

Hope this year atleast, Santa brings us customers

SWG: Just before the end

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "A Christmas Poem" by Conrad Hilberry:mouth, mother, mutter, sticky, slip, straw, faces, father, figs, wasting, ways, warp

PC: agoramedia
I felt something sticky,  in my mouth. It felt like rotten figs.
The look on my parents faces were a mix of pity and love
My mother muttered to my father something that should not have been audible to me.

"My baby, is wasting his life in the worst ways possible. I hate to see him slip by. I could not see the way the car was warped around my child. Why did he have to drink so much, that too when he had promised me that he will give up"

That was the final straw, before I embraced Mr. Reaper

FF: Animals Love

PC: Rochelle Wisoff Feilds
"Mommy, I see warmth in that window"

"Don't look there baby, we are animals, we are meant to be out"

"Mommy, if they can't take care of us, why do they have us? We have such a short life and half the time is spent waiting for them to notice us and give some love”

“Child, the word compassion is getting lesser everyday as the world is growing closer with technology. We don’t know technology. But we know love”

“I love you Mommy”

They can't speak for themselves they need you. Make their Christmas a merry and a warm one too

ABCW-Wind

PC:weknowyourdream

I hate you Wind

How jealous I am when you play with his hair
How envious I feel when you can forever be there
How sad I feel, when you can touch him and I cannot

If you want me to love you again,
Transport my love in your heart and make him feel the warmth of my love
Tell him that his wife misses him.

#mynyelook Masquerade

I am standing here in front of my open closet with so many clothes hanging and typically I have this statement lingering on my mind "I have nothing to wear"

Then I make a check list in my head,
Hows the weather on New Year's eve?
Chilly
So a little heavy jacket should do

Which place am I going to?
A masquerade party
So beautiful elegant dress, preferably black, since I am going to have this shiny mask on me

Am I going to dance?
Yes sir, I so am going to dance into the new year
So, simple non-fussy but sexy looking shoes.
Since, I already have a black dress, I can combine them with a knee-length silver gladiator

What bag should I carry?
I need some money, my credit cards and my phone
So a pretty black silver clutch would do

I will do a light shimmer eye shadow, kohl and do a winged eyeliner for that sexy effect and top my look with a cherry red semi-glossy lipstick.

Taa Daaa....I am ready to ring the New Year in....

FF: Leaving on an airplane

PHOTO PTOMPT © Lucy Fridkin
PHOTO PTOMPT © Lucy Fridkin
I'm in the flight. I am in no mood to hear any announcement. I don’t want to smile at the friendly air-hostess. I solemnly look outside the tiny oval shaped window. I see the airplane speeding on the runway. My heart is racing at the speed of this plane. With a tiny jerk, I can feel the plane take off the ground. The tears in my eyes couldn’t stop no more, slowly they started flowing down my cheek, clouding my vision.

It was that heartbreaking moment of first time leaving my parents’ house, my city, my friends and moving to a new place forever.
