She stood here alone reminiscing the previous night. Her
fingers went up to her slightly bruised lips, those lips curved into a sly
smile.
She could still feel, him holding her hand on this path, her
first and the only man whom she has been crushing on for 20 years now and suddenly, he pushed her up that wall, and started to kiss her passionately. It was
just as she had read in her teenage Mills & Boon novel.
This morning, he said he will call her. She was hoping more rendezvous
like last night.
Question is, Will he really call?
This post is written for Friday Ficitoneers

ReplyDeleteI hope that too :-)

Looks like the alley has an even earlier history than I knew about. If you read my story you will understand why
ReplyDeleteI am sure it might have a wonderful history to it.
DeleteThanks for dropping by Mike :-)
I'll pop back tomorrow to see if called! A delightful chunk of chic-lit!

DeleteThank you Courtney
And the answer is, He'd probably got all his lines perfected by now. Of course he'll call her---and all the others.
ReplyDeleteOh cynical me! 😐 Christine
I know right...so typical
DeleteThanks for dropping by Christine :-)
The cynic in me says he won't call!
ReplyDeleteMe too..but I do hope that he does..for her sake
DeleteThanks for dropping by Iain :-)
He will call back for sure and the call will be echoed by the walls of the alley... just to make sure that walls need more juicy stories than the previous night!
ReplyDeleteLoved the short and sassy story!

I am sure the wall does have many stories :-)

I think you need to go into writing Mills & Boon - great, passionate little story! Question: Because you have 'suddenly' in one of the sentences, I think it needs to finish off with something? That sentence feels unfinished to me
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing that out, I have made the changes, I had something else in mind when I writing that :-)
DeleteThanks for dropping by Rebecca :-)
I was about to comment "will he really call" when I saw the last line! Fingers crossed...
ReplyDeleteBig question?I do hope that he calls :-)
DeleteThanks for dropping by Alistair :-)
love your story
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheilagh :-)
DeleteWhy DeeDee,I'm blushing! I sure hope the guy calls her back - she deserves to still her quivering heart! Goodness gracious, I need a fan and a drink! Nan
ReplyDeleteI so wish he calls her, for carnal desires if not for love :P
DeleteThanks for commenting Nan :-)
Dear DeeDee, I'm hyperventilating now. Racy and good! I like it! Nan
ReplyDeleteThank you Nan :P
DeleteI do hope he calls...but, the bitter truth to be considered here is, they don't always call, do they?
ReplyDeleteIt did feel like the M & B romances, DeeDee! :)
I don't think he will call.
DeleteTypical case, huh. But, I really hope he does. For her sake.
Thanks for dropping by Shilpa :-)

Let's hope it comes good for her, the signs are not promising

DeleteThanks for dropping by Michael :-)
Let's hope it comes good for her, the signs are not promising
ReplyDeleteI do too Michael :-)
DeleteI doubt he'll call, but I've been wrong before, so maybe he will.
ReplyDeleteYou might be right this time Adam.
DeleteI do hope that he calls though :-)
Life rarely works out like a romance novel, though for her sake, I hope it does.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you James :-)
DeleteFingers crossed for her
Great post! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThank you Shon :-)
DeleteLet's hope he calls, but I'm afraid I'm a cynic if it's taken him 20 years to get to her.
ReplyDeleteSascha, I think he might take even longer.
DeleteSigh
Thanks for dropping by :-)
A sweet little romantic story bringing a smile. definitely he will call her, I think.

Wow, I love your optimism.
DeleteI do hope he calls :-)
vERY WELLWRITTEN.
ReplyDeleteThank you Neel :-)
DeleteI think he'll call. She's had a crush on him for twenty years, and he's only just noticed. That suggests a certain naivety; so I think he was telling the truth!
ReplyDeleteI hope he doesn't use her crush and never calls back.
DeleteThanks for dropping by Penny :-)
A dark alley, of course, why didn't I think of this!
ReplyDeleteThere is always a next time Kelvin :-)
