Lana stood in front of this building and thought to herself “In
a week, this place would have been laden with white and pink flowers. All the
loved ones would smile for a picture here.”
Lana almost saw an image of herself in her lilac wedding gown
and Stuart looking dapper in his tuxedo.
Then she looked at the letter in her hand and the building
in front started to blur in her tears and her tears turned into heart-breaking
sobs as she crushed the letter
The letter said just one line “Stuart died in a car crash
this morning”

DeleteComplete story well told. A funeral instead of a wedding.
ReplyDeleteOne thought: I've been listening to a writing tutor who says you don't need to think "to yourself" because who else would you think to.
Talking to yourself is sometimes really important, you do need expert advise sometime right :D
DeleteThanks for dropping by SITW
