Why?
I was all eager to please my new high school friends
I am shy and not so popular, almost invisible wherever I have been
All these "friends", wild and frenzy. If I had to be accepted by the popular group.
I had to guzzle down a full bottle of mild floor cleaner in one gulp.
I wanted to be accepted, I wanted to be popular but I ended up half-dead and a Loser
Note:
Peer pressure does make teenagers do a lot of stupid things in life. Sometimes it even fatal.
As a parent, please talk to your child and tell them that if they had to prove themselves to people to become friends then those friends aren't worth it. A friend accepts another friend they way they are.
As a teen, being accepted by others, being popular is not everything in life. Be confident. Be yourself. People should love you for what you are and not what they can make you into.
This post is written for Three Word Wednesday - eager, frenzy, guzzle
Its so heart touching! Its a great message for our society.
