Mom resigned to Riley’s innocence
“OK, I will make a mermaid costume for you”
“Yay, Now I will feel a part of my friends and not lonely as
usual”
“Are you lonely?” asks mom
“I have no friends; they say I’m not one of them”
That evening a mother hugged her child with tears in her
eyes in the dim light of the refugee camp
