I have never invested in dresses, especially those classy looking fancy ones, simply because I can't afford them.
But, I wanted to look stunning for my brother's engagement, because I knew Martin, my childhood crush and my brother's best friend would surely be there.
I wanted to impress him, and look much drop dead gorgeous, that he should be floored.
So, I surfed online and ordered for this stunning beige color dress, which had cuts at the right places and showed skin, just enough to grab attention, the dress was supposed to arrive today and I was so eager to see it and wear it.

ReplyDeleteSizes of clothes vary so much in the stores. A size 6 in one brand may be a size 14 in another, and so forth. I just about have to try something on, and the hassle of ordering something and having to return it and try again just isn't worth the bother. I suppose if getting to the store was more of a problem, I'd feel differently, but for now shopping in a store is better for me.

I've seen those kinds of pictures on facebook of the dress that was ordered and how it really looked when it arrived! My daughter ordered some bathing suits from what she could tell was a sketchy site, but they were so cheap she went ahead and did it. Fortunately, they worked out for her, although the bottoms were pret-ty skimpy!
ReplyDeleteLucky her :-)

Oh, my goodness. You can never go wrong with black pants and a pretty blouse. Good luck. He'll be looking at you, not the dress.
ReplyDeletePhew! I do hope that.

Hopefully there is still time to dash to the mall for a new frock! Darn those on line places. Happened to me with a Christmas gift, ordered one size, it was obviously mislabeled.
ReplyDeleteGood six!
I hope I get noticed though.
