BWC 6: The Pedalogue
Today, is the last day of the "Black and White Challenge", I have been nominated by "The Lady in Read" (I am going to mention her on all my seven posts since she has done me a huge favor by bringing me out of my non-writing spell)
The pictures shared, are clicked on my humble Samsung S7 Edge and the filters were added on Instagram.
So, the rules of this challenge are easy, something on the lines of Facebook black & white picture challenge. I would be nominating a few blogs who have been supportive while I wasn't writing. If you are reading this post and want to get nominated for the challenge, please do drop me a comment below.

#CleanupCashOut Phony Alliance
I love phones. Most of my phones are with me for like a year, then I switch to the next version of it. I am not a phone loyalist but I am a brand loyalist. I was a Nokiakar now I am a Samsungite.
Well, having said that, the sequence of event narrated below, lasted for almost a month until I decided that I am not going to sell my phone (PS: That is still my spare phone, in cases of emergencies and foreign travels)
I changed a phone about two years back and to sell the old one, I put its ad on a selling site ( Matrimony ad feels already).
I had serious, non-serious, agents people contacting me for my phone which was still in high demand a year after its launch (Prospecting grooms for my baby phone)
After a good negotiation, I used to clean my phone, wiper it well and take it to the designated place of the buyer (just like girl-seeing event)
They ask too many questions about my phone, even after the details being listed in the website, if they plan to not buy, they will bring out so many not-so-good points about my phone (Typical matrimony rejection scene)
After a coffee and a who-the-hell-does-he-think-he-is feeling, my phone and me would come back home.
The scene above was repeated at least 4 times until I decided, that my phone is better off with me than these "buyers"
And, since then my phone and my lived happily ever after.

FF: Curious Case of Malcom
PC: Douglas M. MacIlroy |
“Marian, we have found a perfect spot for our house” John
said looking lovingly at his pregnant wife
“I agree John, its cool, on a good height and maybe our baby
can learn to fly without facing any danger”
A week later, after the lovely house was built with wood, cotton
and silk, little Malcom was born along with three others.
Little Malcom was the most curious of them all, he had been
watching this man downstairs eating something that looked yummy, so one
evening, Malcom decided to get his own food without informing Mommy &
Daddy.
And he landed straight into that man’s hand.
Will Malcom get his food

put his hand in his pocket nad pulled out the most beautiful antique cut ring.
While the boat and the waters were lit with the moonlight,

FFAW: Just another day
PC |
Today is another Monday, the weekend is another many days to
go.
The weather is dull, gloomy, and rainy, all I want to do is
curl up under my duvet and sleep, but alas I have to get up and go to work.
And seriously, till I get my first coffee of the day, I just
cannot have small talks with any living being. So, since I need an expert
advice on what to wear, I put glasses on my 7am friend Mr. Coff-man.
So, starts another day of my life with a little bit of imagination to make my dull life happy.

Liebster Award
Yaay! I got nominated for an award. Yaay! Yaay!
Ok now that, the excitement has reduced, I got nominated for the Liebster Award in this post *yaay yaay yaay* by super sweet, super pretty Emily Bloomquist.
I came across her blog for the first time during a challenge. I made it a point to visit her blog as much as possible and fell in love with her life in Ecuador.
Thank you Emily, you just made my day with the Liebster Award
What is Liebster Award? (Definition is copied from Emily's post itself)
"Liebster" is a German word meaning beloved or dearest. It is an online recognition in form of virtual award which started in 2011 passed on by bloggers to fellow bloggers for enjoying and valuing their work. The idea is to recognize the effort and give credit.
The Liebster Award is interesting in that anyone nominated for it receives it by writing an acceptance post. That is what I am doing now. The rules for accepting the award are straightforward:
These are the questions that Emily asked
1. What prompted you to begin blogging?
A. I was sad, I wanted to talk to someone, I didn't want anyone to judge me, and then I got this platform where I have a million strangers ready to listen to me without knowing, or judging me.
2. Which language would you like to learn?
A. Undoubtedly, Spanish
3. What is your favorite experience in the past six months?
A. Nothing, in particular. Its been a boring year yet.
4. What one location in the world you would like to visit? Why?
A. If I had to select one location? It would be the Europe, there are so many places to visit in there.
5. Do you have pets? If yes, please introduce them
A. I am too irresponsible to take care of pets so No, I don't have any
6. What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
A. I haven't eaten strange food but I have seen people eating a live breathing fish right out of the water which was a bit creepy for me being a vegetarian
7. What is your biggest struggle while writing?
A. Grammar and spellings. I write in a flow, and type really fast and make a zillion mistakes on the way. And then I have to proof read a post five times before posting.
8. Who would you like to receive a week of training / mentorship from?
A. My previous boss - Mini Manakame
9. What is the first thing you drink in the morning?
A. Water
10. How many books do you read per month?
A. Two or Three
11. What was your favorite time of the year when you were going up?

The four architects before Conay, were found dead in
mysterious circumstances in the same place, on the first night, that they were
here. Mike knew that the building does not want to be broken and will not allow

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Carrying Water to the Field" by Joyce Sutphen: afternoons, cultivating, water, wrapped, cut, across, surprise, turning, blade, melted, gulp, accomplished
PC |
One evening, while Marissa was wrapped in her own thoughts, a voice came across and cut through her thoughts, "You are as pretty as this garden, dear garden queen"
She turned she was surprised to see the only man she ever loved, the man who vanished suddenly from her life.
Marissa stood slowly not beliving her eyes, she gulped the air as she walked towards him. Th whole world melted at the sight of him.
She walked towards him and gave him a tight slap.
"I made this garden to be distracted from you, and you waltz in here like you own this place, now I am called the Garden Queen and you deserved a tighter slap on that snob face.Mission accomplished"

I noticed something eerie about that doll, I dismissed that
thought and slept.
That night, just after 2pm, the door to the shower opened,
and I saw the shadow of a little girl.
She looked straight into my eyes and said “My name is
Annabelle, never call me Carrie ever again”
I am giving away this doll for free, please text me if

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Brown Penny" by William Butler Yeats:brown, penny, enough, loops, hair, young, crooked, wise, thinking, stars, shadows, begin
Young lad with crooked teeth and brown hair
His life was in loops, shadows were enough to get him scared
He had money, just enough to buy him one bread
A wise man, in the town once said
"One penny in the sea and the stars will shine, then will begin your rich life"
Bread cost 2 pennies, but a rich life cost just one
Thinking that he will become rich that night, he tossed that one penny in the sea
Little, did he know that wise man was a con.
That day was his bitter lesson learnt
In life, there is no easy way out

My name is Dora. I am 32, married to a nice man. I live in Clarington town and I got a job in this carton department of
Paul & Davis Company. PDC as the town calls it.
For the past few days, I have been tired, bored and
cranky at work surrounded by these drab looking boxes. I felt like crying every morning.
So, this morning when I entered work, I was
surprised to see this beautiful arrangement of flowers on my desk that had a card
“You bring the color, the freshness to my life.I love you, the bloom of my life - *Husband*”
Now, I am having this goofy grin on my face all
day.

ABCW: Disney Charecter
I am going to use a theme for this new A to Z posts. My theme for the 21st, A to Z Challenge is Life Quotes
FFAW: Drowning Waters
PC: TJ Paris |
Little did we know this calm looking morning waters, turn monstrous
in the night. Little did we know that these waters would lure our weak-hearted
and drunks towards it and drown them.
I remember, the next morning five out of my seven closest
friends were gone, forever.
It was then, they told us about the ‘Legend of the Drowning
Waters’
The lessons we learnt, never stop in any unknown place ever,
however beautiful it might look.

FF: I know
PC: J Hardy Carroll |
I have heard so many stories.
I have heard good and bad
news. I have heard new lovers, fights, break-ups.
I have heard threats, laughter,
tears, fear, ecstasy.
I have heard sorry’s, I love you’s, I miss you’s, come
soon’s
I have heard all of them.
Now, I hear nothing.
Now, I am lonely.
I have been replaced by cellphones.
I am…….the old dial telephone

FFAW: Drunk Pirate
PC |
I was looking for him all over the house, but he was nowhere
to be found. I hate that he goes AWOL on me whenever we are out holidaying.
I yell at my son “Omi, where is your father?”
“I saw him drinking beer by the beach an hour back,” Omi
yelled back, still stuck to his cellphone.
I was muttering curses under my breath and what I see from
my window?
My husband is standing on a stationery boat and screaming “Aargh! Aargh! I am Jack Sparrow”
That is it, all the alcohol is my house is going in the
drains tonight

SWG: Run Away
THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "The Pleasures of Hating" by Laure-Anne Bosselaar: hate, bliss, rapture, wig, lips, sandals, loathe, dents, draw, relapse, broccoli, delight
PC |
He cringed at the vulgar drawings on the dented walls of the room. The relapse of the abuse memory came rushing back every time he saw these walls.
The only delight amidst all these was Broccoli, the vegetable everyone hated but he loved. The florets brought the rapture of his mother's garden.
If only, he didn't run away that night; away from that broccoli soup.
