In my house, I have my cat Ron, who shares this love-hate relationship with our neighbor's dog Berry.
The fight like they might kill each other. They keep scaring and chasing each other all day.
But, today when Berry fell sick & the vet took him away, Ron started purring furiously. Then the purr died down to sad purrs.
My Ron, is a lazy cat, he wouldn't run even to catch a mouse, but seeing the vet van take away Berry, made him run behind that van as if his life depended on it.
Ron hasn't eaten anything from the time they took Berry away. He has been waiting on that window sill waiting for Berry.
Berry was brought back from the vet from the back door. One bark from Berry, and I saw Ron jumping up and down, chasing his tail, showing happiness.
Their love brought tears to my eyes.
Animals have emotions too. They feel love, pain, hurt. They have friends too. They do care and miss their friends. Just like us.

Awwwwwww sweet and adorable. Animals do have feelings. And powerful ones. We just need to learn to understand them.

What a sweet tale.. and yes this reminds me of my sister's cat and dog. They loved to tease each other until the cat died.. and you can see the sadness in the dog for quite some time.

ReplyDeleteThat's so nice - feline showing canine concern. My cat Boaby tears the face off our neighbour's Rottweiler if he sneaks in our garden. I've never seen a large dog so terrified of a cat before!
