I have never seen a name board with just first names. Much more friendly than just last names.

Thank you Sandra.
DeleteMany people associate us with our first names and people who come home are normally friends.
Also, in our country people use their first names on name boards.
Hope to have you as a guest some say.
Thanks for dropping by :-)
That's a beautiful nameboard. I like the font that was used. Very elegant.

WE have have been trotting across the globe as nomads for a larger part of our lives. Every time we hopped the country or a city within the country, I used to think of having the new name plate for our new abode...sometimes it materialised, sometimes it did not...but as you say, first one, is my darling too!

Hi DeeDee -lovely carved wood board ... it's not something we tend to do over here and often we inherit the name of the house we bought. But fascinating to read the history and to see your NameBoard ... cheers Hilary

DeleteChecking in from the #AtoZChallenge and I am curious. What is a name board for? Did you make it yourself? It looks like it would be a fun craft project.
ReplyDeleteWe put this nameborad on the front door of our apartment :-)
DeleteWe made it at a wood workshop we attended :-) It was my first wood craft project and I am so happy about it :-)
Thanks for dropping by WOW :-)
