My theme for this year is called "A Piece of Me" #APOM
I would be sharing a tiny piece of my life in pictures
W is Wine
We got this really fine vintage wine from Italy.
I wasn't sure which cheese to pair it with.
I just brought in some random cheese cubes for it. It tasted well

Cheers and yum. I love a nice glass of red wine with almost anything. Dark chocolate always pairs well with red, I think. My Virtual Vineyard
ReplyDeleteAhh..will try that next..Thanks for the suggestion Val :-)
DeleteAs I read this I am enjoying my nightly treat of ripe Stilton cheese accompanied by a glass of ruby red Merlot. I hope you are enjoying yours as much as I am mine!

Wow, now that is very specific wine and cheese combo..I should try it sometime.
DeleteThanks Keith :-)
A glass of wine in the evening with dinner is a habit we enjoy and really don't want to break. I know a couple of alcohol free days are advised for one's health but it is never today in our house, maybe tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWow..that is a nice tradition..I have heard a glass of wine is good for health :-)

Tend to drink wine when with friends and I think it is the companionship; more a ritual of pleasure and hospitality. Visiting from A-Z Challenge :) Linda
ReplyDeleteNice way to put it.

Hi DeeDee - some wine with cheese, or cheese with wine - always good to go down my little throat! It's early yet! Cheers Hilary

It's hard to go wrong with wine and cheese. I've been making homemade french bread and pairing with cheeses (I'm a Spanish cheese binge right now with Manchego and Iberico) and green olives. I paired with one of my favorite Sauvignon Blancs. I actually threw in some cherry tomatoes today so I could feel like I was eating healthier.
ReplyDeleteWow! I have never heard of Machego or Iberico. They sound real exotic. I think I will try all the combinations suggested here.
DeleteWow...
Thanks for dropping by Shawna :-)
