FF: I know

PC:  J Hardy Carroll
I have heard so many stories.
I have heard good and bad news. I have heard new lovers, fights, break-ups.
I have heard threats, laughter, tears, fear, ecstasy.
I have heard sorry’s, I love you’s, I miss you’s, come soon’s
I have heard all of them.

Now, I hear nothing.
Now, I am lonely.
I have been replaced by cellphones.

I am…….the old dial telephone

FFAW: Drunk Pirate

PC
I was looking for him all over the house, but he was nowhere to be found. I hate that he goes AWOL on me whenever we are out holidaying.

I yell at my son “Omi, where is your father?”
“I saw him drinking beer by the beach an hour back,” Omi yelled back, still stuck to his cellphone.

I was muttering curses under my breath and what I see from my window?

My husband is standing on a stationery boat and screaming “Aargh! Aargh! I am Jack Sparrow”

That is it, all the alcohol is my house is going in the drains tonight

SWG: Run Away

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "The Pleasures of Hating" by Laure-Anne Bosselaar: hate, bliss, rapture, wig, lips, sandals, loathe, dents, draw, relapse, broccoli, delight

PC
He hated wearing that blonde wig, bold red lips and those high heeled sandals. He loathed the blissful look on his master.
He cringed at the vulgar drawings on the dented walls of the room. The relapse of the abuse memory came rushing back every time he saw these walls.

The only delight amidst all these was Broccoli, the vegetable everyone hated but he loved. The florets brought the rapture of his mother's garden.

If only, he didn't run away that night; away from that broccoli soup.

FF: Full Moon Night

PC: Janet Webb
Yesterday, in the night of the full moon, when the moonlight shone through the window and lit up the whole room.

When the light of the moon and the flicker of the candle light passed through the concave magic jar; that magic yet again.

The morning reflection of the sleeping man, was that werewolf who howled in the woods last night.

FF: Prick

PC: Claire Sheldon
I dated this guy, this useless-two timing-skirt chasing-slime ball for 2 years.

Today,I found out that he is sleeping with someone on my bed for the past whole month. I read a message on his phone, that she is going to come again today after I go to work.

So, I have a plan in mind, I am going to put these rusted old pins all over the bed, the pillows, make holes in his condoms, stick some pins on the toilet seat.

Either they will spend all their time in removing the pins or just get pricked.

Justice will be served!

SWG: Make-Up

This week's Sunday's Whirligig's words are  clerking, willing, smock, walk, hairspray, boxes, hips, wonders, lipsticks, chores, wisp, seldom

I always wondered about this girl who does clerking at Smit's boxes. I have seen her moving boxes, seldom talking to any staff, goes about her daily chores and leaving for the day.
Today, while walking down the "Famous street" I was surprised to see, this silent looking girl, in a very sedutive smock swaying her hips, wearing a bold red lipstick, a wisp of hair falling on her heavily made up face, and the rest of the hair, set with a strong hairspray.
I wondered to myself, would it be the same girl. So, I went and tapped her shoulder, "Can I come in?"
There was a willingness in her voice.

I asked "Are you Neha from Smit's boxes?"
The answer came "No honey, I am Tania, her mother" she laughed

Woosh! Make up can do wonders to people
