MFTS: Promise

I watched the vulture looking at me hungrily as I lay on the ground bleeding and injured

It was a two hour struggle to save myself from them. My body is almost giving up, but my brain says, just one more turn and you shall live.
That menacing vulture is hovering around waiting for me to bleed to death.

No..No Mr. Ugly Bird..I am not going to be your dinner.

They pecked me, pinched me, the followed me around trying to hurt me, and eat me alive.
I ran as fast as my small legs could take me.

Someday black crows; I am going to get back to you and hurt you bad.

It’s a promise by me, The Chicken

MFTS: Lost

Not knowing what to expect, he made his way into the dark of the forest
He was tired & scared and slightly in shock too.
He fell from top of the waterfall, that might have been at least 40 feet up.
It was getting dark. All he wanted was the warmth of his mother
The wind howled, the leaves rustled, the forest that looked all pretty during the day, was starting to look creepy.
He wanted to cry, but his mother has told him to be brave.

MFTS: Confession of Riley Rich

Now this is living the life of Riley

I am sorry mom I ate the hamster
I am sorry dad that you haven’t got 3 security deposits back because of me
I am sorry human-brother, I peed on your homework
I am sorry human-sister to have bit your butt when you were cleaning the litter

But Hey
I am a cat, I am known to be mean
And Yes! I don’t give a darn.
I eat, I sleep

Now, please do not disturb, scratch me and treat me like royalty

MFTS: Mango Tree

© 2015, Barbara W. Beacham

She lived in a mango tree
From the time she was three

With golden hair & blue eyes she was born
Like her mother who has been buried for long

Her step mother envious & ugly at heart
She killed her father and tore him apart

This golden girl she couldn’t harm
For she was protected by God’s own arm

That’s why she locked the girl on a mango tree
And swore that she will never go free

Years later, came a college guy
With a car, a bandana, a guitar music so high

He saw this beautiful young girl above
And fell so much in love

With music he confessed his feelings for her
And promised to save her from her stepmother

He called the cops & got the mother arrested
And freed his love, from the place she rested

Thus, here is a modern fairy tale

Of her who lived on a mango tree
