Bathers, 1950 by George Tooker |
I don't have shapely legs
I don't have a flat tummy
I don't have a bikini body,
But, I don't care what size I am
My flab's show that I work for a living, and have kids
So, I don't work out
My scars show that I have been through a lot in life and I still stand strong
So, I do not feel the need to hide
I go through life with a smile
Sometimes, I cry at alone for a while
I am never hard on myself
I am no perfect
But, hey! I am born to be Real, Not Perfect
