SWG: Fire

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Once in a Meadow, Near Los Osos by Michael McClintock: single, empty, dandelion, spool, aflame, wanton, flaring, wildflowers, poppies, coastal, innocent, coat

In an empty single standing house
By the coastal bay

PC: /i.ytimg.com
Dark silent abandoned house
Untamed gardens with pretty flowers in spring

Dandelion, Poppies, and wildflowers growing there
Pink lotuses and wantons on the small lake there

Once upon a time, stood there a pretty house
That was burnt down by a spool of dry hay

A small cigarette butt, set the hay aflame
That small flame went flaring around the house

That fire claimed 6 innocent lives
The town tried to remove the victims from there
Alas, all the found was the tiny coat of the 2 year old, that lived there
